Three color blue mosaic pattern glaze. I am often asked why I do not trim the top of my bowls. Mostly, it is that I like the result to reveal the process. I want the bowls to look hand made. To my eye, much work made on a potter's wheel looks machine made. I want a very different effect. I revel in the hand made feel of pinch pots, the dents, ripples and bumps---and the undulating tops. What I like about this pot is that the softly flowing lip is a real counterpoint to the hard geometry of the mosaic glaze pattern.
