Cross hatch pattern with 3 color glaze.
Another happy accident. Notice how the flashing on the unglazed cross hatching changes from the bottom to the top. The brown glaze at the base really flashes, while the deep blue/black glaze at top does not alter the deep red color of the clay. At first I didn't really like the effect. I wanted "consistency". But then I realized that if I really wanted consistency, I wouldn't make pinch pots! Once I put that together, I began to tuly appreciate the additional color dimension and wished that I had actually planned the effect.
