This glaze combination also came from my large test tile project. It is a reminder that the end result of a glaze application is really more about chemistry than about color, per se. There are several ways to get to green and two green glazes do not necessarily meld well---or even remain green when combined. And the order of application can be critical. The combination on this bowl includes an oatmeal glaze pattern applied under a light yellow top glaze. If the oatmeal glaze pattern is applied on top, the result is totally different and altogether unattractive.
